is a common comorbidity in schizophrenia. Few studies have addressed obesity in Chinese schizophrenia patients. The aims of this current study were to evaluate the prevalence, risk factors and clinical correlates of obesity in Chinese patients with schizophrenia\u201d\u3002<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u8bf4\u660e\uff1a<\/strong>\u8fd9\u6837\u5199\u7684\u6bd4\u8f83\u4e2d\u89c4\u4e2d\u77e9\u3001\u76f4\u622a\u4e86\u5f53\u3002\u5bf9\u4e8e\u8fd9\u6837\u4e00\u4e2a\u4e34\u5e8a\u7814\u7a76\uff0c\u7b2c\u4e00\u53e5\u5c31\u662f\u9ad8\u5ea6\u6982\u62ec\u7cbe\u795e\u5206\u88c2\u75c7\u7684\u80a5\u80d6\u60c5\u51b5\uff08common comorbidity\uff09\uff0c\u7b2c\u4e8c\u53e5\u8bdd\u662f\u5728\u4e2d\u56fd\u4eba\u7fa4\u4e2d\u7684\u60c5\u51b5\uff0c\u6697\u793a\u4e86\u672c\u7814\u7a76\u7684\u65b0\u9896\u6027\uff08few studies\uff09\uff0c\u7b2c\u4e09\u53e5\u660e\u786e\u8bf4\u660e\u672c\u4e34\u5e8a\u7814\u7a76\u7684\u76ee\u7684\u662f\uff1a\u8c03\u67e5\u7cbe\u795e\u5206\u88c2\u75c7\u5408\u5e76\u80a5\u80d6\u7684\u53d1\u75c5\u7387\u3001\u5371\u9669\u56e0\u7d20\u548c\u4e34\u5e8a\u76f8\u5173\u56e0\u7d20\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u7b2c\u4e8c\u4e2a\u4f8b\u5b50\uff1a\u201c\u7cbe\u795e\u5206\u88c2\u75c7\u5408\u5e76\u81ea\u6740\u7684\u53d1\u75c5\u7387\u548c\u76f8\u5173\u56e0\u7d20\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u80cc\u666f\u548c\u76ee\u7684\u662f\u8fd9\u4e48\u5199\u7684\uff1a<\/strong>The high prevalence of suicide in schizophrenia may be related to its demographic and clinical characteristics. Their clinical and anthropometric data together with plasma glucose and lipid parameters were collected. The patient&#8217;s psychopathology was assessed using the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS). The obese patients had significantly higher glucose levels, triglyceride levels than non-obese patients. Females and patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus had increased risk for obesity. Correlation analysis showed that BMI was associated with sex, education levels, negative symptoms, total PANSS score, triglyceride levels and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Further stepwise regression analysis showed that sex, type 2 diabetes, education level, triglyceride and amount of smoking\/day were significant predictors for obesity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u8bf4\u660e\uff1a<\/strong>\u7b2c\u4e00\u53e5\u5217\u51fa\u75c5\u4eba\u80a5\u80d6\u548c\u8d85\u91cd\u7684\u53d1\u75c5\u7387\u3002\u7b2c\u4e8c\u53e5\u662f\u5217\u51fa\u80a5\u80d6\u7ec4vs\u975e\u80a5\u80d6\u7ec4\u4e24\u7ec4\u95f4\u7684\u7edf\u8ba1\u5206\u6790\u7ed3\u679c\uff0c\u80a5\u80d6\u75c5\u4eba\u7ec4\u9ad8\u8840\u7cd6\u548c\u7518\u6cb9\u4e09\u916f\uff0c\u5973\u6027\u548c\u8f83\u591a\u7684\u7cd6\u5c3f\u75c5\u3002\u7b2c\u4e09\u53e5\u662f\u76f8\u5173\u5206\u6790\u7ed3\u679c\uff0c\u8bf4\u660eBMI\u4e0e\u6027\u522b\u3001\u6559\u80b2\u3001PANSS \u9634\u6027\u75c7\u72b6\u548c\u603b\u5206\u3001\u7518\u6cb9\u4e09\u916f\u548c\u7cd6\u5c3f\u75c5\u76f8\u5173\u3002\u7b2c\u56db\u53e5\u662f\u591a\u5143\u56de\u5f52\u7684\u7ed3\u679c\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u7b2c\u4e8c\u4e2a\u4f8b\u5b50\uff1a\u201c\u7cbe\u795e\u5206\u88c2\u75c7\u5408\u5e76\u81ea\u6740\u7684\u53d1\u75c5\u7387\u548c\u76f8\u5173\u56e0\u7d20\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Results\u662f\u8fd9\u4e48\u5199\u7684\uff1a<\/strong>We found a suicide attempt rate of 9.2% in these schizophrenic inpatients. The attempters were single, had a significantly younger age but more hospitalizations, had higher depressive symptoms, and began smoking at an earlier age, smoked more cigarettes each day and had higher FTND total scores than patients without suicide attempts. The logistic regression analysis also indicated that suicide attempts were associated with the number of hospitalizations, depressive symptoms and FTND total scores.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u8bf4\u660e\uff1a<\/strong>\u7b2c\u4e00\u53e5\u5217\u51fa\u75c5\u4eba\u81ea\u6740\u7387\u3002\u7b2c\u4e8c\u53e5\u662f\u5217\u51fa\u81ea\u6740\u7ec4vs\u975e\u81ea\u6740\u7ec4\u4e24\u7ec4\u95f4\u7684\u7edf\u8ba1\u5206\u6790\u7ed3\u679c\uff1a\u81ea\u6740\u7ec4\u5355\u8eab\u3001\u5e74\u7eaa\u5c0f\u3001\u4f4f\u9662\u6b21\u6570\u591a\u3001\u6291\u90c1\u75c7\u72b6\u4e25\u91cd\uff0c\u9996\u6b21\u5438\u70df\u5e74\u7eaa\u8f83\u5c0f\u3001\u6bcf\u65e5\u5438\u70df\u652f\u6570\u591a\uff0cFTND \u8bc4\u5206\u4e25\u91cd\u3002\u7b2c\u4e09\u53e5\u662flogistic \u5206\u6790\u7ed3\u679c\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u7b2c\u4e09\u4e2a\u4f8b\u5b50\uff1a\u201c\u7cbe\u795e\u5206\u88c2\u75c7\u4f34\u53d1\u5438\u70df\u7684\u53d1\u75c5\u7387\u548c\u76f8\u5173\u56e0\u7d20\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Results\u662f\u8fd9\u4e48\u5199\u7684\uff1a<\/strong>We found that the schizophrenia patients had a higher lifetime incidence of smoking (79% vs 63%), were more likely to be heavy smokers (61% vs 31%), and had lower smoking cessation rates (4% vs 9%) (all p&lt;0.0001) than controls. Among the schizophrenia patients smoking prevalence increased with age, with the largest difference from controls in the age cohort of 55-75 years: 75% vs 46% (p&lt;0.0001). Among the schizophrenia smokers 73% started to smoke before the onset of their illness by an average of 7.6 years. The patients with schizophrenia who were current smokers scored significantly lower on the PANSS negative symptom subscore (p&lt;0.005), and on the SAES symptom scale (p&lt;0.04; Bonferroni corrected p&gt;0.05) than the non-smoking patients.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u8bf4\u660e\uff1a<\/strong>\u7b2c\u4e00\u53e5\u5217\u51fa\u75c5\u4eba\u7ec4\u548c\u6b63\u5e38\u7ec4\u5438\u70df\u7387\u3001\u91cd\u6027\u5438\u70df\u7387\u548c\u6212\u70df\u7387\u3002\u7b2c\u4e8c\u53e5\u5217\u51fa\u5438\u70df\u4e0e\u5e74\u9f84\u7684\u5173\u7cfb\u3002\u7b2c\u4e09\u53e5\u5217\u51fa\u5438\u70df\u7ec4\u5e74\u9f84\u4e0e\u53d1\u75c5\u5e74\u9f84\u4e4b\u95f4\u7684\u5173\u7cfb\u3002\u7b2c\u56db\u53e5\u5217\u51fa\u5438\u70df\u7ec4vs\u975e\u5438\u70df\u7ec4\u4e24\u7ec4\u95f4\u7684\u7edf\u8ba1\u5206\u6790\u7ed3\u679c\uff1a\u5728\u51e0\u4e2a\u91cf\u8868\u4e0a\u7684\u5dee\u5f02\u3002\uff08\u8bf4\u660e\uff1a\u8fd9\u7bc7\u6587\u7ae0\u4e0e\u5e38\u89c4\u7684\u5957\u8def\u6709\u4e9b\u4e0d\u540c\uff0c\u56e0\u4e3a\u8fd9\u662f\u8f83\u65e9\u7684\u5173\u4e8e\u7cbe\u795e\u5206\u88c2\u75c7\u5408\u5e76\u67d0\u79cd\u4e9a\u7ec4\u53d1\u75c5\u7387\u7684\u6587\u7ae0\uff0c\u5f53\u65f6\u8fd8\u6ca1\u603b\u7ed3\u51fa\u540e\u6765\u7684\u5957\u8def\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u7b2c\u56db\u4e2a\u4f8b\u5b50\uff1a\u201c\u7cbe\u795e\u5206\u88c2\u75c7\u4f34\u53d1\u7cd6\u5c3f\u75c5\u53d1\u75c5\u7387\u548c\u76f8\u5173\u56e0\u7d20\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Results\u662f\u8fd9\u4e48\u5199\u7684\uff1a<\/strong>Diabetes mellitus was more common in patients than in the normal controls (22.3% vs 6.2%) (odds ratio = 4.37, confidence interval (CI) 2.76-6.92, p &lt; 0.001). The prevalence of diabetes increased with age across five age-groups as compared with normal controls (X(2) = 18.0, df = 4, p = 0.001). The PANSS total score and sub-scores showed no differences between the diabetic and non-diabetic groups. Logistic regression in the patients revealed significant associations between diabetes and a family history of diabetes (p &lt; 0.001), age (p &lt; 0.01), and BMI (p &lt; 0.05).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u8bf4\u660e\uff1a<\/strong>\u7b2c\u4e00\u53e5\u5217\u51fa\u75c5\u4eba\u7ec4\u548c\u6b63\u5e38\u7ec4\u7cd6\u5c3f\u75c5\u53d1\u75c5\u7387\u3002\u7b2c\u4e8c\u53e5\u5217\u51fa\u7cd6\u5c3f\u75c5\u53d1\u75c5\u7387\u4e0e\u5e74\u9f84\u7684\u5173\u7cfb\u3002\u7b2c\u4e09\u53e5\u5217\u51fa\u7cd6\u5c3f\u75c5\u7ec4vs\u975e\u7cd6\u5c3f\u75c5\u7ec4\u4e24\u7ec4\u95f4\u7684\u7edf\u8ba1\u5206\u6790\u7ed3\u679c\u3002\u7b2c\u56db\u53e5\u662flogistic \u56de\u5f52\u7ed3\u679c\u3002<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u7b2c\u56db\u90e8\u5206\uff09\u7ed3\u8bba\uff1a<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u4e00\u822c\u662f\u4e00\u53e5\u8bdd\u6765\u8bf4\u660e\uff0c\u6709\u65f62\u53e5\uff0c\u5076\u5c143\u53e5\u3002\u4e00\u5b9a\u662f\u5728\u7ed3\u679c\u7684\u57fa\u7840\u4e0a\u7684\u7cbe\u70bc\u548c\u603b\u7ed3\uff0c\u800c\u4e0d\u80fd\u53ea\u662f\u91cd\u590d\u7ed3\u679c\u90e8\u5206\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u7b2c\u4e00\u4e2a\u4f8b\u5b50\uff1a\u201c\u7cbe\u795e\u5206\u88c2\u75c7\u4f34\u53d1\u80a5\u80d6\u7684\u53d1\u75c5\u7387\u548c\u76f8\u5173\u4e34\u5e8a\u56e0\u7d20\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conclusion\u662f\u8fd9\u4e48\u5199\u7684\uff1a<\/strong>Our study showed that the prevalence of obesity in Chinese patients with schizophrenia is higher than that in the general population. Some demographic and clinical variables are risk factors for obesity in schizophrenia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u8bf4\u660e\uff1a<\/strong>\u7b2c\u4e00\u53e5\u8bf4\u660e\u4e2d\u56fd\u7cbe\u795e\u5206\u88c2\u75c7\u4eba\u7fa4\u6bd4\u6b63\u5e38\u4eba\u7fa4\u7684\u80a5\u80d6\u53d1\u75c5\u7387\u9ad8\u3002\u7b2c\u4e8c\u53e5\u8bf4\u660e\u4e00\u4e9b\u4eba\u53e3\u5b66\u8d44\u6599\u548c\u4e34\u5e8a\u8d44\u6599\u662f\u80a5\u80d6\u7684\u5371\u9669\u56e0\u7d20\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u7b2c\u4e8c\u4e2a\u4f8b\u5b50\uff1a\u201c\u7cbe\u795e\u5206\u88c2\u75c7\u5408\u5e76\u81ea\u6740\u7684\u53d1\u75c5\u7387\u548c\u76f8\u5173\u56e0\u7d20\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conclusion\u662f\u8fd9\u4e48\u5199\u7684\uff1a<\/strong>These results suggest that Chinese inpatients with schizophrenia attempt suicide more often than the general population. Further, smokers with schizophrenia may display fewer negative symptoms and possibly less parkinsonism than non-smokers with schizophrenia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u8bf4\u660e\uff1a<\/strong>\u7b2c\u4e00\u53e5\u8bf4\u660e\u4e2d\u56fd\u7cbe\u795e\u5206\u88c2\u75c7\u7537\u6027\u4eba\u7fa4\u6bd4\u6b63\u5e38\u7537\u6027\u4eba\u7fa4\u7684\u5438\u70df\u7387\u9ad8\u3002\u7b2c\u4e8c\u53e5\u5438\u70df\u7ec4\u9634\u6027\u75c7\u72b6\u8f83\u8f7b\u3001\u5e15\u91d1\u68ee\u6c0f\u526f\u4f5c\u7528\u8f83\u5c11\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u7b2c\u56db\u4e2a\u4f8b\u5b50\uff1a\u201c\u7cbe\u795e\u5206\u88c2\u75c7\u4f34\u53d1\u7cd6\u5c3f\u75c5\u53d1\u75c5\u7387\u548c\u76f8\u5173\u56e0\u7d20\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Conclusion\u662f\u8fd9\u4e48\u5199\u7684\uff1a<\/strong>Long-term clozapine treatment was associated with an increased and clinically important risk of diabetes mellitus in Chinese chronic schizophrenic patients, which is consistent with previous reports in Western populations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u8bf4\u660e\uff1a<\/strong>\u7b2c\u4e00\u53e5\u524d\u534a\u53e5\u8bf4\u660e\u957f\u671f\u670d\u7528\u6c2f\u6c2e\u5e73\u5bfc\u81f4\u7cbe\u795e\u5206\u88c2\u75c7\u4eba\u7fa4\u7684\u7cd6\u5c3f\u75c5\u53d1\u75c5\u7387\u9ad8\uff0c\u540c\u65f6\u6709\u4e00\u4e9b\u4e34\u5e8a\u76f8\u5173\u7684\u5371\u9669\u56e0\u7d20\u3002\u540e\u534a\u53e5\u8bf4\u660e\u4e0e\u897f\u65b9\u4eba\u7fa4\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u53d1\u73b0\u7c7b\u4f3c\u3002<\/p>\n<section
